Bachelor, Master, and Visiting Students
Ondřej Klíčník
Quantum Hacking & Certification Lab
Ondřej Klíčník received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Information Security from Brno University of Technology, where he is currently pursuing a PhD focused on quantum key distribution (QKD) in telecommunication networks. QKD was also the topic of both his bachelor’s and master’s theses. During his studies, he worked at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) on building and automating a BB84 system, collaborated with colleagues at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in Greece on QKD transmission over multimode fiber, and worked at Quantum Optics Jena (QOJ) in Germany on polarization compensation for satellite QKD. At VQCC, he works in the Quantum Hacking & Certification Lab led by Vadim Makarov, where he is implementing an attack on a commercial QKD system running the COW-3 (coherent-one-way) protocol, based on the displacement operator.
