About me
Guillermo was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions grant in 2017 to pursue his Ph.D. at the University of Leeds, working under the guidance of Prof. Mohsen Razavi. He successfully defended his thesis in 2021 and received the prize for the best thesis in the School of Electrical Engineering that year.
After completing his Ph.D., Guillermo joined Prof. Marcos Curty’s group at the University of Vigo for a brief postdoctoral stay. Then, he joined Prof. Kiyoshi Tamaki’s group at the University of Toyama for one year as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Quantum Communication Theory Group in the Vigo Quantum Communication Center. His main research interest is the security of quantum key distribution.
