Fadri Grünenfelder

Fadri studied Physics at the ETH Zurich, with an external Master thesis in the Group of Applied Physics at the University of Geneva. After finishing his master’s degree, he did an internship in the Trapped Ion Quantum Information Group at the ETH Zurich where he worked towards the fabrication of a segmented ion trap. For his PhD studies he rejoined the Group of Applied Physics in Geneva and worked with Prof. Hugo Zbinden on the implementation of quantum key distribution systems. After his graduation, he moved to Vigo to join the Quantum Communication Technologies Group in the Vigo Quantum Communication Center, where he works now as a postdoctoral researcher.
