The VQCC visits
the University of Toyama

On September 1, 2025, Margarida Pereira and Guillermo Currás-Lorenzo, postdoctoral researchers at the VQCC, began a research visit at the University of Toyama under the mentorship of Prof. Kiyoshi Tamaki. The exchange, which continued until November 4, 2025, aimed to strengthen the collaboration between the two research groups and promote progress in their shared areas of interest.  

Throughout their stay, the VQCC researchers presented their most recent work and took part in in-depth scientific discussions with Prof. Tamaki on the security of quantum key distribution (QKD). This fruitful exchange of ideas and expertise broadened their understanding and opened new avenues for potential advancements in secure quantum communication technologies.
