The VQCC visits
the University of Geneva.

03/06/2024

On April 1, 2024, Ana Blázquez, a predoctoral researcher in the Quantum Communication Technologies Group at VQCC, started a research stay at the University of Geneva. This exchange spanned two months, concluding on June 1, 2024, and was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Thew.

During this stay, Ana collaborated in an experiment involving the development and testing of a quantum random number generator based in a photonic integrated chip. Quantum random number generators are crucial for enhancing the security and efficiency of quantum communication systems by providing truly random numbers essential for cryptographic protocols.
