The European Space
Agency visits the VQCC

On January 16, 2025, Eric Wille, member of the optoelectronics group at the European Space Agency (ESA), which is actively involved in many ESA projects related to QKD and its applications in satellite communication, Francesco Picciariello, member of the ESA internal laboratory on testing QKD systems, and Massimo Panzeri from the ESA Security Office, visited the VQCC. During their visit, we had the opportunity to discuss several aspects regarding the validation/hacking/certification and security proof of QKD systems, as well as potential opportunities for future scientific collaboration in these topics.
