Dr Víctor Zapatero, a postdoctoral researcher in the Quantum Communication Theory Group, attended the 2025 Workshop on QKD Security Proofs, which was held at the University of Waterloo and the Institute for Quantum Computing from 22 to 25 September. The workshop targets active researchers working in the technical and foundational aspects of QKD protocol security. To encourage dialogue and collaboration, the event consists of whiteboard talks followed by open discussions. The selected topics relate to various mathematical tools, open problems, and ongoing work in the context of QKD security.
