Guillermo Currás-Lorenzo awarded prestigious
Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Guillermo Currás-Lorenzo has been awarded a highly competitive Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship to carry out his project “Enhancing the Implementation Security of Quantum Key Distribution”.

The two-year fellowship, running from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027, will support his research on strengthening the practical security of quantum communication systems. Under the supervision of Prof. Marcos Curty, the project aims to address critical challenges in implementing secure quantum key distribution protocols in real-world scenarios.
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are among Europe’s most prestigious research grants, designed to support the career development of promising researchers. This achievement highlights both the excellence of the research proposal and the VQCC’s position as a leading institution in quantum communication research.
