The VQCC visits
the University of York.

On April 14, 2024, Xoel Sixto, a predoctoral researcher at VQCC, commenced a research stay at the University of York under the supervision of Professor Marco Lucamarini. This visit, which lasted until May 26, 2024, facilitated numerous in-depth discussions on quantum communications and the security of QKD, enriching the collaborative research efforts between the two institutions.

During his time at the University of York, Xoel Sixto delivered two one-hour lectures titled “Implementation Security in QKD,” where he shared his view and advancements in the topic with Professor Lucamarini’s group. His interaction with the group facilitated a lively exchange of ideas, further cementing the collaborative efforts between VQCC and the University of York in the advancement of quantum communications.
