The VQCC visits the
University of Toyama, Japan.
On September 12, 2024, Guillermo Currás-Lorenzo, Álvaro Navarrete, and Margarida Pereira, postdoctoral researchers at the VQCC, began a research stay at the University of Toyama under the mentorship of Prof. Kiyoshi Tamaki. This exchange, lasting until October 31, 2024, served to strengthen the collaborative ties between the two research groups and foster advances in their shared focus areas.
During their stay, the VQCC researchers presented their latest findings and engaged in extensive scientific discussions on the security of quantum key distribution (QKD) with Prof. Tamaki and Dr. Akihiro Mizutani. This dynamic exchange of ideas and expertise enriched the researchers’ understanding, fostering new perspectives and potential advancements in secure quantum communication implementations.
