The VQCC visits
the University Friedrich-Alexander Erlangen-Nürnberg.

05/06/2024

Prof. Marcos Curty is visiting the research group of Prof. Christoph Marquardt at the University Friedrich-Alexander Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, from June 1 until August 31, 2024. This visit is founded by a Salvador de Madariaga grant from the Spanish Ministry of Universities.

The group of Prof. Christoph Marquardt is very well known internationally for their studies of quantum phenomena and its technological applications particularly in the optical domain, including: novel sources of quantum states involving nonlinear photonics, the development of quantum communication protocols, the implementation of quantum cryptography protocols under realistic conditions, understanding information at the fundamental quantum mechanical limit, testing quantum mechanics under extreme conditions, and developing novel photonic technology to enable quantum and quantum inspired sensing and processing. For more information, see https://www.oqt.nat.fau.de/. The VQCC and the group of Prof. Christoph Marquardt currently collaborate in various European projects, like e.g. the Quantum Flagship QSNP project, or the Nostradamus project on the certification of quantum key distribution systems.
