The VQCC at
the XI PD-LFV Workshop
Seven researchers from the Vigo Quantum Communication Center took part in the XI Workshop of the PhD Program in Laser, Photonics, and Vision (PD-LFV), held on January 30, 2026, at the Facultade de Óptica e Optometría of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
During the workshop, the participants presented their recent research contributions in the field of quantum communications, with a particular focus on quantum key distribution, single-photon detectors, and implementation security. Their participation highlighted the center’s active role in advancing secure quantum technologies and fostering collaboration within the photonics and quantum research community.
Below is the list of presentations delivered by the researchers from the Vigo Quantum Communication Center, together with their respective authors:
Ainhoa Agulleiro: “A fast and simple quantum key distribution implementation for investigating implementation security”.
Alessandro Marcomini: “On the Implementation Security of Twin-Field Quantum Key Distribution using Optical Injection Locking”.
Álvaro Magdalena: “Analysis of Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor data for an Adaptive Optics System”.
Ana Blázquez Coído: “Blinding and control of single photon detectors for QKD systems”.
Daniil Trefilov: “Optical spectrum–resolved characterization of backflash in single photon detectors”.
Martín Álvarez: “Stochastic Modeling of QRNGs and Single-Shot Characterization of QKD Transmitters”.
Vaisakh Mannalath: “All-photonic GHZ state distribution”.
