The VQCC at
the Swabian Summer School.

The VQCC participated in the Swabian Summer School organized by Swabian Instruments at their headquarters in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart from the 24^th to the 27^th of September 2024. During this workshop, our PhD student, Álvaro Magdalena, had the opportunity to learn about the company’s Time Taggers, attend lectures given by both company members and external experts, and do various experiments related to the Time Taggers and other topics highly relevant to his future research.

Like other students attending the Summer School, Álvaro Magdalena could as well present his current research project at the VQCC about an “entangled photon-pair source for quantum key distribution”, and engage in productive discussions about it with fellow students.
