Nitin Jain
visits the VQCC

Dr. Nitin Jain from the Technical University of Denmark has visited the VQCC from February 10 until February 18, 2025, in the context of the European project Nostradamus. During his visit, he gave a talk about the latest achievements on continuous-variable quantum key distribution made by his research group.

Nitin received a B.Tech degree in electrical engineering and a M.Tech degree in communications and signal processing from IIT Bombay, India, in 2004. He also received a M.Sc. degree in physics (with main focus on quantum information science and technology) from the University of Calgary, Canada, in 2007. He has worked in the software industry for a while, developing video codecs for handheld devices at NVIDIA Graphics Pvt. Ltd., Pune, India. Since 2010, he was a PhD student at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Germany, where he completed his PhD in physics in 2015. After two post-doctoral positions at the Northwestern University, USA, and the Technical University of Denmark, currently he is a special consultant at the latter and a quantum scientist at Alea Quantum Technologies.
