Mateus Araújo
visits the VQCC.
On November 24, 2023, the senior post-doctoral researcher Mateus Araújo, currently working at the University of Valladolid in the context of the Spanish Complementary Plans in Quantum Communication, visited the VQCC.
Mateus did his Master thesis in Physics with Marcelo Terra Cunha at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), and then moved to the University of Vienna to do a PhD in Theoretical Physics under the supervision of Časlav Brukner. After various post-doctoral research positions in the group of Davide Gross at the University of Cologne (Germany), and in the groups of Marcus Huber and Miguel Navascués at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information from the Austrian Academy of Sciences (Austria), Mateus joined recently the University of Valladolid. His research interests lie in foundations of quantum mechanics, nonlocality, and convex optimisation with applications in quantum information science.
