experimental quantum communication

Description

The Vigo Quantum Communication Center at the University of Vigo (Spain) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in experimental quantum communication. You will work in the laboratory of Quantum Communication Technology under the supervision of Prof. Hugo Zbinden and Dr. Davide Rusca. The project is aimed at modelling, characterizing and developing implementation secure communications prototypes.

Requested experience and skills

– A PhD or equivalent, or be near completion thereof, in physics or a related field.

– A good past research/publication record

– Knowledge and/or previous experience in quantum optics and fibre optics.

– Independence, ability to manage own academic research and PhD students

– Fluent in English, good communication skills, ability to write publications and research proposals.
