Ana Blázquez visits
the University of Geneva

31/05/2025

In May 2025, Ana Blázquez Coído, a predoctoral researcher from the Quantum Communication Technologies Group at VQCC, undertook a research stay at the University of Geneva, under the supervision of Dr. Rob Thew.

During this period, Ana worked on an experimental project focused on the development and evaluation of a quantum random number generator (QRNG) implemented on a photonic integrated chip. She also engaged in a parallel collaboration with the university’s theory group on related QRNG research. QRNGs play a vital role in quantum communication, offering truly unpredictable randomness that underpins the security and performance of cryptographic protocols.
